Elite Incredible duly paying dividend
With almost half of the card to his name, Singapore champion trainer Michael Clements seemed to have laid a mortgage on Sunday’s $85,000 Spalato 2014 Stakes, with one of the better chances from his quartet of runners, Elite Incredible duly paying dividends.
The Argentinian-bred five-year-old, who was at his maiden win for Clements since moving from the now Australian-based Cliff Brown, led all of the way for leading apprentice jockey Hakim Kamaruddin in the Kranji Stakes B race over 1800m. The swoopers – around three to four from his eight rivals – descended thick and fast, but Elite Incredible, hard up against the rails, was able to thwart all comers rather comfortably in the end, with a good half-a-length to spare.

Invincible again after long lapse
After three unplaced runs in Malaysia at the tailend of last year, ELITE INVINCIBLE began the 2021 season with an upset win in the Supreme A over 1200m at Sungei Besi here today, just as WATCH THE THRONE’S unbeaten run came to an end.
ELITE INVINCIBLE, a winner in six starts in England and the UAE, scored six times in 20 starts in Singapore. His last success came in November 2018.

Elite Power dug down deep

No wonder no more Elite Incredible
It had been a wonder how Elite Incredible, Top Knight’s runner-up in the Group 1 Singapore Guineas (1600m), was still a maiden after five starts, but that tag is now behind the Argentinian-bred Valid Stripes four-year-old after he finally got off the mark at the prohibitive odds of $6 in the $50,000 Debt Collector 2016 Stakes, a Class 4 Division 3 race over 1200m.
Fulife King scores in a thriller
Fulife King repelled all comers to score a hard-fought win in the $70,000 Class 3 race over 1000m on Friday night.
